Bookmarklet (Enhanced)

Yes, the bookmarklet is more enhanced now. We have received some feedbacks from our campers saying that they must get the option to vote instead of the submit form, if the article is already submitted. Thanks for your feedbacks and it is implemented. What more? We have also given a credit to our camper who has helped us grow by submitting the article Cheers to our campers!!!

PHPCamp Widget

Now you can also show the boiling PHP articles on your blog or social networking site. All you have to do is add the following line of code:

Camper or job seeker can apply on jobs from the job list on Jobs tab. Their resume and details will be send directly to respective employer.

And employers can post new job openings using Post Your Job tab with the job details for 15 or 30 days on payment of $49 USD or $99 USD.

A month back we released our first bookmarklet which was very basic, so this month, Aman decided to take things in his hand and he created a shiny bookmarklet for us.

It now allows you to select the text in an article that you would like to set as description.

Attach twitter handle

Yes, now you can show your twitter handle in you profile page, we hope it will help you get few more followers .

We thought that since campers are taking time to share articles, which get’s tweeted to PHPCamp’s twitter id, so why not put the id of the twitter users in the message, and let them share the glory of sharing the articles.

Get notified on comments

Now you will be notified whenever a camper leaves or shares his/her thought on articles that you have shared with community.

And, off-course we have update the the theme of this blog as well.

Bookmarklet for sharing articles

We have now made it easy for submitting articles on PHPCamp, just drag this Add To PHPCamp on you bookmarks toolbar on your browser. Next time when you find an article that you want to share, just click on that bookmarklet, and it will fill the form for you(note you need to be logged it in for this to work).

Ability to vote articles on listing page

Last time when we had released we had asked on twitter for for feedback. One of the feedback that we got from skoop (on twitter @skoop) was

ability to vote without having to go to details page. Well now you can vote on articles on article list page itself.

Made it easier to promote your article on Twitter and Facebook

We did this because we wanted to make it easier for you to post links on Twitter and Facebook so that you could ask your friends and colleagues to vote for your articles on PHPCamp.

We also added this so that I can also easily promote the articles that i like

Added ‘Shared By’ to all our boiling articles

We thought we should pass the limelight to campers who share the articles on PHPCamp so we added, ‘shared by’ to all our boiling articles, that get posted on Twitter.

PHPC.in our own url shortner

Yes we now have our own url shortner(sorry that is not for public use to keep the maintenance low). Earlier we were using is.gd, I loved the simplicity of is.gd but they had few downtimes which resulted in problems in our services so we decided to quickly roll our own service, also we wanted to have some insight on the links as well.

5. Save the template.

Joomla

1. Login to Administrator section of your website
2. Go to “Extensions –> Module manager”
3. Click on “New” button on top right corner
4. Select “Feed Display” and click “Next”
5. Set Title to “Boiling on PHPCamp” or whatever you like
6. Set Feed URL to http://phpcamp.net/feed
7. Click on the “Save” Button.

Drupal

I have not used drupal to comment, can a drupaler give us the step to do
